September 7 is officially #TalentDay, a county-wide celebration to highlight Miami's local talent in the form of students, young alumni, employers, and community members. In 2021, more than 300 students from across Miami's seven major academic institutions gathered together to engage and network with Miami's most inspirational industry leaders, employers, colleagues, executives, and representatives.
Last summer, students from across Miami-Dade County Public Schools were matched with hands-on internship opportunities, projects, tasks and experiences to help them better prepare for life post-graduation in the Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) with the help of the Talent Development Network. Students were matched with different internship sites throughout the county based on their interests and aspirations.
