Miami-Dade County has officially marked September 7 as Talent Development Network Day. TDN proudly celebrated our FIRST in-person Talent Day Block Party on Tuesday, September 7th. Talent Day has always been a social media campaign with the goal to increase awareness and recognize top talent in South Florida, but this year, we brought #TalentDay to The Wharf Miami!
We were joined by speakers like Estefany "Fefi" Oliveira, Latin actress, Singer, Influencer, and University of Miami alumna
Byron Jones, Cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and tech entrepreneur
And even heard some powerful closing remarks by Miami-native, President Pumariega, Miami Dade College's first female president.
Students from all of the Talent Development Network's partner institutions had the chance to network with industry and community leaders at the TDN Block party while connecting with their peers from schools like Barry University, Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade College, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, St. Thomas University, and the University of Miami!
The objective of Talent Day is to help raise awareness and highlight South Florida’s amazing talent, its amazing employers, and how internships are essential to help students get full-time jobs and develop a strong workforce. Last year, posts using the hashtag #TalentDay were seen 2.9 million times, reaching over 730,000 people. #TalentDay was one of the top trending hashtags in Miami, all thanks to the support and involvement of our students and partners like you!
